Eric & Rita’s Story

Eric and I met at a vendor pop-up in early 2025. He was helping me bring my bags into the venue when he casually suggested, “Wouldn’t it be cool if your handbags wore my art?” I laughed—but then I saw his portfolio. One painting, “ROYGBIV,” jumped out immediately. Bold, colorful, a little crazy—in the best way. I knew it had to be the start of something special.

We had the painting printed on denim and once the fabric arrived I immediately knew which two bags would look good in the new fabric. I began carefully mapping out the Maxine Tote and Linda Baguette patterns across his swirls of color. We both really liked the test bags, so Eric took it a step further—digitally cutting shapes straight from the digital painting onto the fabric
so I didn’t have to trace a thing.

When we held that first proto-type in our hands, it was magic. One bag style turned into two, and by April, we’d made it official: Eric & Rita Limited Designs was born.

Since then, my studio has been alive with the sound of scissors snipping, zippers zipping, and my sewing machine buzzing away. Denim or leatherette, each bag is an individual piece of art truly being One of a Kind.
